How to Receive Salvation
Jesus once said that we must be “born again” to enter the Kingdom of God (John 3:3). He was speaking of a spiritual birth that brings everlasting life—or “salvation” (John 3:16)—provided through His death and resurrection. Without His sacrifice, we remain guilty and separated from God (Isaiah 59:2).
You see, all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory—the perfect holiness—of God (Romans 3:23). Our best efforts do not measure up to God’s perfection. But God made a way for us to have fellowship with Him by dying for us (John 3:16). His death and resurrection paid the penalty for our sins and remove the condemnation for the evil we have done (John 3:36; Romans 5:10).
What is required of us is to believe in Jesus—to accept what He has done for us and acknowledge that we have received Him into our lives (Romans 10:9-10). Those who believe are given the right to become children of God (John 1:12)—to be born again. Jesus’ perfect sacrifice brings us into fellowship with God (1 John 1:3).
If you have not received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can be born again now by sincerely praying the following prayer in faith:
Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and that I need your salvation. I believe you died for me on a cross to pay the penalty for my sins. I ask you to come into my life and forgive me so that I can have fellowship with you. I ask you to remove the condemnation for my sins and grant me eternal life.
